Suzanne Thomson – Western Canada

Former National Seafood Sector Council Western Region Coordinator, Suzanne has worked with processors to increase awareness of programs and services available to them. Her work plan for the Western Regions which includes; British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba is to promote FPHRC membership, develop partnerships, collaborate with provincial food assocations and provide monthly newsletters. She also encourages processors to attend or send employees to FPHRC workshops and evaluation sessions as well as provide representatives for FPHRC committees and special projects.

Suzanne brings skills development opportunities to the plant floor including (HACCP, Quality Assurance, Sanitation & Hygiene, Food Processing Safety & Security, Lean Manufacturing, Ergonomic Programs). She will also host and attend special and community events, information sessions, partnership meetings, conferences, product and program launches and act as a facilitator and speaker on behalf of FPHRC on request.
