Where does the LMI statistical data come from?

The data used in our LMI report comes from a variety of different sources; it combines both primary and secondary research.

The FPHRC contracted a company to conduct primary research including nation-wide focus groups, employer surveys and in-depth interviews with industry experts. All information collected adequately reflects and represents each sector within the Canadian Food & Beverage Processing Industry.

The main source of our secondary research featured in our LMI report, is from Statistics Canada (other sources are listed in the bibliography).
