Introduction

The Food Processing HR Council (FPHRC) is working on a project that focuses on finding beneficial ways and means for students to actually experience employment in the Canadian food & beverage processing industry while completing their education. This program brings students and food processors together with a newly defined framework that combines successful practices of other similar cooperative education experiences. In addition this project will explore and leverage the leading recruitment and retention strategies that currently exist within the industry. Ultimately, the project will provide the basis for more effective future human resources planning by the food and beverage processing industry.
